What is CBD?

CBD is short for “Cannabidol” which is one of 113 known chemical compounds known as “cannabinoids” found in the Cannabis sativa plant. CBD is non-psychoactive and is responsible for much of the healing effects of the cannabis plant.


What are cannabinoids?

Cannabinoids are the 115+ known molecules and chemical compounds found in the Cannabis sativa plant. Some notable cannabinoids being THC, CBD, CBG, CBN, CBC, THCV and many, many others. Each have different effects on the human body and when combined and ingested, create something called the “entourage effect” which is the results of the synergy between the various cannabinoids on the human body.


What are terpenes?

Terpenes are the aromatic oils secreted from the same glands that produce cannabinoids. In recent years, the science has shown that a strain’s “terpene profile” or combination & quantities of various terpenes have a tremendous and profound impact of the effects of a strain on the human body.

When you smell a cannabis product and get hints of fruit, wood, pepper, cheese, fuel, lemons, oranges, etc – that is the result of that particular strain’s terpene profile.



Will smoking hemp flower get me high?

To speak frankly, no, smoking hemp flower will not produce the effects many have come to associate marijuana with. Hemp flower contains trace (less than 0.3%) amounts of THC so effects may vary depending on your tolerance and experience. Hemp flower is traditionally dominant in CBD and/or CBG which produce different effects than THC.


What is the difference between CBG and CBD?

CBG, short for “Cannabigerol” is another one of the 115 discovered chemical compounds found in the Cannabis sativa plant known as “cannabinoids”. CBG is not typically found in large amounts in traditional THC cannabis (marijuana) but has become increasingly prominent in hemp genetics over recent years.


What is the difference between “hemp” and “marijuana”?

Not much genetically but a whole lot legally. Both “hemp” and “marijuana” are used to describe the same plant, Cannabis sativa, the difference is that cannabis known as “hemp” is traditionally grown for CBD or CBG or fiber, fuel, textiles, etc and “marijuana” is traditionally THC dominant and used for recreation or medicinally.

Think of it all as “cannabis” but one being dominant in a different cannabinoid than the other.


Can I vaporize hemp flower?

Absolutely. You can use hemp flower in every way you can use traditional THC cannabis flower.

Simply grind up the buds as you would and load in your dry herb vaporizer according to your device’s instructions.


Can I make edibles with hemp flower?

Raw hemp flower can be processed and used the same as traditional THC cannabis flower. The difference is the trace amounts of THC and the dominant cannabinoids of CBD & CBG. Much like traditional “marijuana” flower, you will need to decarboxylate the flower to convert the CBDA or CBGA to CBD & CBG.

We source almost exclusively from small farmers throughout various regions of the country from our own backyard in Vermont to farms across the Midwest and West Coast. New England’s growing season is short and cold so to ensure year long supply, we have partnered up with farms in Missouri & Oregon.

Does hemp flower contain THC?

Does it taste like marijuana?

Yes! Hemp CBD and CBG flower contains many of the same terpenes and flavonoids that traditional THC marijuana have so the taste and smell are very similar.


Is the flower machine or hand trimmed?

Often both! We apply a personal hand manicure to each bud prior to shipping out.


Can I return hemp flower?

Unfortunately, we can only offer returns or swaps on unopened products. If the tamper seal sticker is broken, we cannot process a full return.


Do you add terpenes to your hemp flower?

Absolutely not. Our hemp flower is sold as is after it is dried & cured. The only processing touch is our hand trim & manicure.


Will CBD make me tired?

We cannot comment on how your body will react to CBD and hemp flower but we always suggest initially testing out the product at night when you don’t have anything left to do. This gives you the safest window to see how CBD and hemp products interact with your system.


Do you sell anything high THC?

No, everything must be compliant with the Agrictultural Improvement Act of 2018, USDA, DEA & FDA which means no products can be sold with more than 0.3% D9-THC.

What do you use in your pre-rolls?

Our pre-rolls are made using the same hemp flower we sell in jars. We don’t cut corners or costs by using trim or leaves in our pre-roll offerings.


What should I smoke hemp flower with?

You can use any traditional herbal smoking device whether it be a hand pipe or water pipe or roll it in the traditional way. We suggest using hemp based rolling papers or hemp “blunt wraps”.


How effective is hemp flower versus other CBD ingestibles?

Smoking hemp CBD flower is the fastest and most effective method of ingestion. Hemp flower in its raw & unprocessed form retains the most cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids and other unique compounds.


What does hemp flower heal, cure or fix?

As per FDA law, we cannot market hemp as a medical product or make any health claims. We encourage everyone to research these products and make educated decisions for yourself.


What if the package is opened during transit?

Every shipment contains a disclaimer alerting any postal workers or authorities that the box contains industrial hemp and is a federally legal substance.


How do I keep the flower fresh?

Every jar of hemp flower is shipped with a humidity pack in a child resistant glass jar. Keep the jar out of heat and light and you can expect a good amount of shelf life. We also sell humidity packs.


Is hemp legal?

Hemp is federally legal as per the Agricultural Improvement Act of 2018 (Farm Bill). Your state or territory reserves the right to further restrict hemp and it’s derivatives. Please check with your local and state laws before purchasing.


Do you ship to all 50 states?

We ship to all states except Idaho, South Dakota, Mississippi, New Hampshire, Texas & the District of Columbia (Washington DC).


Will I fail a drug test?

This is not something we can answer directly as screenings often vary depending on methodology but hemp flower does contain trace amounts (less than 0.3% dry weight) of THC and we advise against using our products if you are drug tested on a regular basis.
